Barack Hussein Obama, America's first black president, giving hope in his presence and speech. This is the American I thought I would never see. I thought about the 60's although a child suffering experienced of tear gas for three days. My little eyes burned for a week with this gaseous substance. My mother applied cold clothes to my eyes repeatedly. Our neighborhood was a mixture of people from many different places those who where middle class lived in the larger houses but we all suffered the same fate. Today was the resolve of America that says yes we have. A cry for joy for it is Character and not the color of the skin. I am going to bed now with big joy in my heart. "Only in America"

Needed Sunshine

I yellow is such a happy color so you know I had to paint my yellow roses. I started painting this picture channeling happy thoughts after hearing news of the banking bailout. Why are we the taxpayers the scape goats? Why can't some of this money go directly to homeowners forgiving some of the mortgage debt? I needed to divert my mind. Yellow was my color. There needs to be more oversight of the banking industry. I am praying. If you would like to purchase a print click the title
