This was inspired by the idea of Christ as the Rose Of Sharon his sweetness, The Cross, his thorny crown and the Holy Spirit descending like a dove. I was also reading the Song of Solomon 2. That is a very passionate book. I have posted it to ebay this week. Rose of Sharon the plant is Hibiscus syriacus. It isn't a rose, but its large, flat blossoms and nectar attract hummingbirds and tiny insects that hummers also eat

My newest painting for the week of June 14 ebay Listing
Here is one my French Shabby Cottage Roses Palette Knife 8"X 10" with a little Palette knife technique. I like a little texture in my paintings. I like to feel the painting. My nana became blind when I was about 8 years old. She had to rebuild her life. She used her hands to see our faces as we grew up. I like that everyone can see the roses.

Needed Sunshine
I yellow is such a happy color so you know I had to paint my yellow roses. I started painting this picture channeling happy thoughts after hearing news of the banking bailout. Why are we the taxpayers the scape goats? Why can't some of this money go directly to homeowners forgiving some of the mortgage debt? I needed to divert my mind. Yellow was my color. There needs to be more oversight of the banking industry. I am praying. If you would like to purchase a print click the titleWhat do you think about bail out?
